Hello, I’m Crystal Benson, and I’ve been married to Nate for 20 years. We have two young adult children, two dogs—Princess and Calipoo (who definitely rule the house!), our DogPig, Penelope, and two mini cows, Daisy (Mom) and Buddy (Baby). Fun fact: our neighbor is the Wildlife World Zoo, so having a little wildness fits right in with our family! 

I was born and raised in La Puente, California, dead smack in the middle of L.A. and Disneyland. I’ve been blessed to grow up in the same house my grandparents have called home since 1961. The Refinery has been our family’s church since 2018, and I’m so grateful for the community God has given us here.

God placed women’s ministry on my heart because I have a deep desire to see women come together, build authentic relationships, and dig deeper into God’s Word. My prayer is to cultivate genuine community in every season of life while supporting and equipping women to live out God’s design for their lives.

There’s always a next step: My next step of faith is to step outside my comfort zone, intentionally meet new women at The Refinery, and build meaningful relationships. I’m excited to see what God does!

I’m praying that Unshaken 2026 will be a year of breakthrough—a God-centered event where women can build one another up, pray for one another, and simply do life together, because we were never meant to do life alone. No limits, no titles—just genuine community and the love of Jesus.
