Refinery Missions

Our missions opportunities and the groups we support are broken down into three categories:

  • Jerusalem - Opportunities/organizations in our local community
  • Judea/Samaria - Opportunities/organizations within Arizona and the United States
  • Ends of the Earth - Opportunities/organizations across the world

New Life Center - A non-profit organization that offers shelter, safety and services to families seeking independent, violence-free lives. The women’s ministry at The Refinery serves at the Center throughout the year.

Streetlight USA - A non-profit organization designed to unite local churches to eradicate child sex slavery in Phoenix and then the rest of the nation.  StreetlightUSA serves girls ages 11-17 who have experienced sexual trauma find a new way forward so they can become independent, confident, and successful young women. We have a group that heads to Streetlight once a month to do projects around the campus.  For more information on projects, Register.

Christian Family Care(CFC) - CFC is and adoption and foster care agency focused on meeting the needs of children and families in Arizona. The Refinery hosts interest meetings for CFC and assists in raising awareness of the tremendous need in our community.

Homeless Youth Connection (HYC) - HYC raises awareness and meets the needs of homeless youth so they can stay in school and graduate. The Refinery Christian Church hosts HYC on a regular basis for breakfast and other activities.

Mobile Ministry Center (MMC) - is a motor home which was gifted to The Refinery and customized for the purposes of sharing the love of Jesus in our community. This is a ministry tool for YOU to use! 

A Night To Shine - Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Click here for more information.

IHELP - Through the local capital "C" church we will provide 10 adults with dinner and a safe, warm place to sleep every night of the week. The Refinery will be operating IHELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program) at our facility twice a month. More information about the IHELP organization. SummitLIFE - Sedona, Az: A church planted in Sedona, Arizona committed to “Welcoming the Community of Sedona into Community with God…One LIFE at a time.”

The Verve - Las Vegas, Nevada: “A Church for People Who Don’t Like Church”. The Verve seeks to help non-believers grow towards living a love-God, love-people, turn-the-world-upside-down kind of life.

Feed the Fish - Dent, Minnesota: A children’s camp located in that was founded in 2011 by former Refinery members Rick and Shirley Umberger. Their goal is to provide children with an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and to help them feel loved and experience God’s Majesty.
