Refinery Missions

Our missions opportunities and the groups we support are broken down into three categories:

  • Jerusalem - Opportunities/organizations in our local community
  • Judea/Samaria - Opportunities/organizations within Arizona and the United States
  • Ends of the Earth - Opportunities/organizations across the world

Streetlight USA - A non-profit organization designed to unite local churches to eradicate child sex slavery in Phoenix and then the rest of the nation.  StreetlightUSA serves girls ages 11-17 who have experienced sexual trauma find a new way forward so they can become independent, confident, and successful young women.

Christian Family Care(CFC) - CFC is and adoption and foster care agency focused on meeting the needs of children and families in Arizona. The Refinery hosts interest meetings for CFC and assists in raising awareness of the tremendous need in our community.

Homeless Youth Connection (HYC) - HYC raises awareness and meets the needs of homeless youth so they can stay in school and graduate. The Refinery Christian Church hosts HYC on a regular basis for breakfast and other activities.

Mobile Ministry Center (MMC) - MMC is a motor home which was gifted to The Refinery and customized for the purposes of sharing the love of Jesus in our community. This is a ministry tool for YOU to use! 

A Night To Shine - Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Click here for more information.

IHELP - Through the local capital "C" church we will provide 10 adults with dinner and a safe, warm place to sleep every night of the week. The Refinery will be operating IHELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program) at our facility twice a month. More information about the IHELP organization. Register to serve with IHELP.


The Verve - Las Vegas, Nevada: “A Church for People Who Don’t Like Church”. The Verve seeks to help non-believers grow towards living a love-God, love-people, turn-the-world-upside-down kind of life.

Feed the Fish - Dent, Minnesota: A children’s camp located in that was founded in 2011 by former Refinery members Rick and Shirley Umberger. Their goal is to provide children with an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and to help them feel loved and experience God’s Majesty.


Elevate Church - Limerick, Ireland: Elevate Church with Pastor Dermot O’Mahoney is one of our long-term missions partners. We’ve been supporting them since their inception in 2012 and have sent many teams to Limerick to assist them in reaching the people of Limerick. They opened a new Worship Center at a former Catholic School in 2017 after having met at a conference room in The Strand Hotel for 5 years. Ansanm - Cap Rouge, Haiti: ‘Ansanm’ means ‘life together’ in Haitian Creole. Ansanm is a missions organization in Cap Rouge, Haiti that we support and send missions teams to since 2016. Their vision is to do life together by partnering with the community of Cap Rouge in the needs of the church, education, job creation/community development and family care.
